Kickball tradition
Condit Elementary School students participated in the school’s traditional fourth- vs. fifth-grade kickball tournament. Physical Education teacher, Coach William Johnson, served as both pitcher and umpire for the tournament. A total of 30 students from each grade were divided up into teams of 10 and played three games of kickball that afternoon. Condit teachers, parents, siblings, and students from every grade level came out to cheer on the kickball players. For some students, it was the first time they had played kickball but they quickly learned the intricacies of the game. Although the games were close, the fifth graders prevailed – winning all three kickball games. After the tournament, all the players celebrated with ice cream.
