The Center for Pursuit president and CEO Charles C. Canton, Carlos De Aldecoa Bueno, Isabel and Ignacio Torras, and Chef Luis Roger (pictured from left) joined guests at River Oaks Country Club for the annual Center for Pursuit luncheon. This year’s event, chaired by Tracey and John L. Buckley, celebrated the recent merger between The Center for Pursuit and Social Motion Skills, Inc. The newly combined organization will establish a synergistic progression of services for children to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), autism, and other similar conditions. With a “centered on the future” theme, the luncheon honored Social Motion Skills, Inc. founder Wendy K. Dawson and trial lawyer and community advocate Alistair Dawson. Attendees heard from president and CEO Charles C. Canton on the mission of The Center, the future of their new $55 million campus in Houston’s East End, and the merger with Social Motion Skills, Inc.
