Vivie, age 7

Hi, my name is Vivie. My mom and dad rescued me four years ago from an Australian Shepherd Rescue in Decatur, Texas. It was a little scary for me at first. I did not quite understand what was happening, and it was a long car ride home – seven whole hours! But when I got to my new home, it turned out to be the best thing ever. I’m so happy to be with a family that loves me lots, and I love them too! Lucky for me, they’re always around – Dad is semi-retired and Mom works from home. My mom tries to take me on a walk every day so I get lots of good exercise. I am still learning about walking and trying to understand that other dogs are not the enemy. It turns out that they are, in fact, very friendly and just want to play!
