Southampton Place neighborhood is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, and centennial celebration committee members (bottom row, from left): Anne Muntz, Mary Howe Hawkins, Susan Rafte; (top row, from left): Joe Fischer, John Powell, and Craig Peterson are hard at work on the celebration. A year’s worth of activities is planned to commemorate the milestone, beginning with a recent kickoff party at Baileson Brewing Co. featuring music by Western Bling. Activities are planned for the winter, spring, and fall months of 2023, taking a break during the summer. Planned highlights include a lecture series, garden tour, historical Houston bus tours, Halloween festival and parade, and a 100th birthday party.
