Wearing a berber Moroccan headscarf, Larry Ginsberg (pictured) checked an item off his bucket list at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He traveled with an old friend, who happens to be a Palestinian Arab, which made seeing the event hosted for the first time by an Arab nation even more exciting. Larry purchased the headscarf during an earlier vacation in Morocco and brought it with him to cheer on the team as they defeated Portugal, 1-0. The energy in the stadium was electric while Larry watched four games, three of which ended in shootouts, surrounded by energetic spectators dressed in native-country flair while banging drums, dancing, and singing. Major sporting events are nothing new for Larry, who has been to both the World Series and Super Bowl, but the World Cup was a truly unique experience.
