A Seven Acres surprise

Supporters of Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services gathered at the Hilton Americas Houston for the first in-person gala in three years. Honorary gala chairs John and Bebe Falik, gala co-chairs Steve and Denise Estrin, honorees Scott and Susie Bender, and gala co-chairs Robert and Alyse Caplan (pictured, from left) celebrated at the Back Together…and it Feels so Good gala and raised more than $1.5 million for residents of Seven Acres. The gala honored Susie and Scott Bender with the Joyce Proler Schechter Spirit of Life Award for their years of service and support of Seven Acres. The Benders were surprised when their award was introduced by their five grandchildren, ages four through 10, who each came to the podium to talk about what their grandparents mean to them.
