Jenna Lyndley, Katie Field, Whitney Martin Madelyn Wycoff, Brooke Bentley Gunst, and Samantha Wolcott were among more than 300 guests at the Children’s Museum of Houston Friends and Families Luncheon. The event, chaired by Caroline Bean and Lacey Goossen, was held at River Oaks Country Club and raised $180,000 for the museum’s childhood and parenting programs. KHOU-11 anchor Chita Craft served as mistress of ceremonies, welcoming keynote speaker and New York Times best-selling author Jessica Lahey who shared tips about how parents can encourage lifelong learning in their children. The Marian and Speros Martel Early Childhood Educator of the Year Award finalists were recognized: Christie Bishop, Genoa Elementary in Pasadena ISD, Te’Andrea James and Arielle Moore, The School at St. George Place in Houston ISD, and Adrienne Rance, Beth Yeshurun Day School.
