Books and brunch

The Assistance League of Houston's Books & Brunch fundraiser at the Houston Racquet Club was a big success. Meredith Olson and speaker James Olson (pictured) were among the crowd that enjoyed a silent auction, wine pull, and raffle, in a festive afternoon led by emcee Frank Billingsley. Along with James Olson, Nina Hendee spoke to the crowd, and both speakers received a standing ovation. The event raised funds to support Assistance League of Houston’s programs including Operation School Bell which provides school clothing for children, the Celebration of Giving holiday program at Texas Children’s Hospital, a home library program, and a scholarship program.
