Louie, age 12

Hi! I’m Louie, a 12-year-old Papillon. I live with my mom and two other dog siblings: Pepper, a 12-year-old three-legged poodle, and Sonny, an 8-year-old rescue Papillon. We love our walks in the neighborhood and at our country home in Round Top. I have a huge appetite for such a small dog – I’m nine pounds, but I should probably be about seven. Still, I’m terribly energetic, and I always have to have a toy in my mouth. Every morning, my siblings and I eat our breakfast and go out to the gate to wait for our neighbor Hank to give us our morning treat. If Hank’s out of town, it’s hard for our mom to convince us that he’s not coming. I can’t hear so well anymore, which is why I like to follow my mom’s feet very closely. I’m her little shadow, and I walk so close behind her that sometimes she accidentally backs into me!
