Parents of Lamar High School freshmen (pictured) kicked off the school year with a festive gathering at Marquis II. The social event had a great turnout with more than 50 parents meeting and preparing for the next four years together. Parents from legacy middle schools including Pin Oak, Pershing, and Lanier had a chance to widen their circle of friends while enjoying refreshments at a favorite neighborhood spot. Led by freshman parent representatives Trish Hilliard and Lisa Lim, moms and dads for the Class of 2028 are off to a great start as they get involved with their kids’ new school through fundraising and social events.
