Darë, age 12

Greetings, readers! My name is Darë (left) and I am the Duchess of Spaniel Hall. With me is my bratty little sister, Jordan Rose. I was enjoying the bucolic Briargrove life until my human decided to spoil our dreamy existence by adopting Jordan two and a half years ago – don’t little kids ruin everything? I am a show-bred English Springer Spaniel from Connecticut, while Jordan is a sporting-bred Springer from, of all places: China, Texas! I love to luxuriate in and around our home and English garden while Jordan loves to counter surf and race about, leaving our Navajo rugs in utter disarray. I am as gracious as one of my station is expected to be, though sometimes I want to box up that ruffian Jordan, send her back to China so I might return to my peaceful existence when it was just me and my human. A Duchess can dream, can’t she?
