2015 Friends and Families Luncheon, The Children's Museum Houston

Author Joline GodfreyThe Children’s Museum of Houston and chairs Valeria Burguières and Emily Dalicandro will welcome renowned speaker and author Joline Godfrey to the 2015 Friends and Families Luncheon. Godfrey will offer insight on parenting financially responsible children. 

A former executive of the Polaroid Corporation and currently the CEO of Independent Means Inc. (a company which makes financial fluency relevant and fun), Godfrey has dedicated her career to educating children, families, Fortune 100 families, investment firms and financial institutions about her experiential approach to financial education. She has been featured in The New York Times, Fortune, Business Week, Oprah, The Today Show and more. Godfrey has also launched An Income of Her Own, the first non-profit which offers financial education for girls. She is the author of numerous books including Raising Financially Fit Kids and 99 Ways to Give Economic Power to Girls.

Parents, educators, families and friends are invited to come together for awareness and philanthropy at this enlightening event. The luncheon will help support the museum’s early childhood and parenting programs which focus on building parenting skills, providing information on child development and engaging families in the joy of learning together.
