2015 Good Brick Tour
Get an inside look at some of the city’s best restored homes and buildings during Preservation Houston’s second annual Good Brick Tour. The event showcases six outstanding projects that have won Good Brick Awards for excellence in historic preservation. These privately owned homes and buildings are not usually open to the public. Locations range from a quaint Victorian cottage in the East End to a repurposed turn-of-the-century fire station in the Sixth Ward. Begin your tour in the Boulevard Oaks Historic District at 1635 South Boulevard (pictured), a graciously restored Tudor Revival home constructed in 1928 by Katharine Mott, one of Houston's first woman builders.
