2016 Haras Cup Soiree
Angels & Horses, the third annual Haras Cup Soiree and U.S. Premier Working Equitation Championship will be held at Haras Hacienda on Sat. and Sun., Oct. 15 and 16, 2016. The event will benefit Be An Angel Fund and Virtuosi of Houston.
Working Equitation is an equestrian discipline with three phases: dressage, ease of handling (obstacles) and speed (timed with obstacles). In 2015 the event attracted 4,500 attendees and raised in excess of $200,000.
Chaired by Carmina Zamorano and Rafael Chavez, the Angels & Horses Gala will be held on Sat., Oct. 15. The Equestrian Chic attired guests will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. followed by the matchless “Rhythm of Horses” performance directed by Susan Pelletier.
The “Hat Derby” Brunch will be held on Sun. Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. Over 150 fashionable women showing off their finest hat wear are expected. The top prize is a $7,000 jewelry piece from Paradis. The event will be followed with a concert by Curtis Braly beginning at 1 p.m.
There is no entrance charge for the Hat Derby.
Gala Tickets are $250; tables of 10 are $3,000, 5,000, $10,000 & $25,000.
