25th Annual Laura Lee Blanton Community Spirit Award Dinner

Sue White will be honored by Jim Reeder, Eric Nevil, Nancy Etheridge, and Franna and Ted Litton at the 25th Annual Laura Lee Blanton Community Spirit Award Dinner on October 18, 2023!

Sue is the epitome of leadership, commitment to a variety of charitable causes and hands-on support to many Houston-area organizations – all qualities exemplifying the true essence of the Community Spirit Award.

First introduced to Houston Hospice through her work with the Garden Club of Houston, Sue has generously served on the Houston Hospice board of directors since 2014. She selflessly gives her time and dedication to Houston Hospice and many other organizations in the greater Houston area.

History of the Laura Lee Blanton Community Spirit Award:
Laura Lee Blanton’s lifelong and selfless dedication to her family, community and friends is celebrated by all who knew her. Houston Hospice named the Community Spirit Award in her honor – and memory – in 1999, which is the year she died. Laura Lee passed away just prior to the 1999 event where she and her husband, Jack S. Blanton, were set to receive the award.

Award recipients are selected based on the personal and civic virtues that Laura Lee admirably exemplified during her life.
