Celebrate lively Latin culture, with host Jose Munoz, at the fourth annual “Dreaming of You” Festival: A Tribute Inspired by Selena. Enjoy performances by the Rice University’s Mariachi Luna Llena, Rita Ochoa, Alessandra Salinas, Carolyn Rodriguez, and DJ set by Gio Chamba and Coffee Guzman. Immerse yourself into Latin culture with authentic art, dance, vendors, a Selena-look-alike Contest, a Houston Latina Blogger Mart, and a special musical tribute to Selena.
Selena Quintanilla Perez was an American actress, songwriter, and fashion icon that was known as the Queen of Tejano music. Ranked amongst the most influential Latin artists in history, she made an everlasting impact on the late 20th century. She was also one of the most celebrated Mexican-American artists of her time.
Find this event downstairs, at the White Oak Music Hall. This show is for all ages and general admission tickets are standing room only. Parking in lots A and B, both a 1-minute walk from the White Oak Music Hall, are $12.
