AVDA’s 2023 New Beginnings Luncheon

Join AVDA for the first annual New Beginnings Luncheon on May 8, 2023 at the Junior League of Houston honoring longtime advocate Stephanie von Stein Schusterman. This celebration of survivors of domestic abuse will feature an elevated lunch, curated silent auction, empowering keynote speaker, and more. Event Chairs are Sarah Barrett, Rachel Delaney, Jessica Leeke, and Alexis Smith.

A United Way funded partner, AVDA provides free counseling and legal representation (protective orders, divorce, child custody, child support and adoption in cases of parent fatality) for domestic abuse survivors in Austin, Grimes, Harris, Fort Bend, Waller and Washington counties. AVDA’s Battering and Intervention Program serves abusers in Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris and Montgomery counties, and its educational programming for youth and adults aims to prevent abuse by focusing on healthy relationships across the Greater Houston area.
