AVDA’s Party in the Park

At this family-friendly outdoor fundraising event, guests will enjoy lunch, custom cocktails, big board, raffle, and entertainment. Younger guests will enjoy traditional festival attractions such as face painting, DJ, party games, activity booths, balloon twisting, and live entertainment. The presenting sponsor is SheSpace. Party in the Park engages families in AVDA’s mission to end family violence by building awareness of domestic violence at a younger age. All proceeds benefit AVDA. Event chairs are Stephanie and Katie Tsuru. 

A United Way partner, AVDA provides free counseling and legal representation (protective orders, divorce, child custody, child support and adoption in cases of parent fatality) for domestic abuse survivors in Austin, Grimes, Harris, Fort Bend, Waller and Washington counties. AVDA’s Battering and Intervention Program serves abusers in Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris and Montgomery counties, and its educational programming for youth and adults aims to prevent abuse by focusing on healthy relationships across the Greater Houston area.
