Bach Society Houston presents Two Holy Week Concerts: Bach's Palm Sunday Cantata and Erickson’s St. John Passion

Bach Society Houston presents the profound beauty of sacred music with two Holy Week performances at Christ the King Lutheran Church. On Palm Sunday, April 13 at 3 PM, begin your Holy Week journey with Bach’s joyful and rarely performed “Himmelskönig, sei willkommen (BWV 182),” one of his earliest sacred works composed for the occasion. Return on Good Friday, April 18 at 3 PM for a moving performance of the St. John Passion, featuring the Bach Society Houston Orchestra and Choir with Christ the King Choir, including new music by Artistic Director Rick Erickson and a contemporary English translation.
