Bayou Preservation Association's 12th Annual Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Awards Luncheon

Bayou Preservation Association 12th Annual Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Awards Luncheon will take place Nov. 1 at the Junior League of Houston, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

The prestigious award, named for the late Terry Hershey, honors individuals for their outstanding commitment to aiding in the conservation, preservation, restoration or advocacy of Houston's waterways. This year’s awardees include: Andrew "Andy" Sansom (Public Sector), Rachel Powers (Non-profit Sector), and C. Mike Garver (Private Sector).

Funds raised through the luncheon will support the Bayou Preservation Association’s mission: to Celebrate, Protect and Restore the natural richness of all our bayous and streams. We envision transforming the region we love into one that is nationally recognized for its quality of life. We are working to ensure increasing the public and community's understanding of all area bayous, creeks, and their watersheds, promoting stewardship opportunities to improve the health of our watersheds and being the leading force on bayou and watershed issues.

This year, Bayou Preservation Association’s Chair, Paul R. Nelson, and Melvin Spinks, Senior Vice President, A Woolpert Company, are chairing the 12th Annual Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Awards Luncheon on November 1st at the Junior League of Houston at 11:30 a.m.
