Meet the artists behind the House of Cards: Gaston Zahr and Merav Eitan of OGE Group, and the 20 Houston artists whose work is featured in the installation. A film tour of the public art installation will show you how the piece, seen all over the world, came together.
This fall, Discovery Green hosts House of Cards by Israel-based OGE Group. Over-sized playing cards, each designed with a unique piece of artwork - including work from 20 Houston artists - form a towering house of cards. At night, the structure is illuminated with choreographed lights, giving the illusion of the house of cards rising, falling and being rebuilt. On view daily during park hours; illuminated nightly from dusk to midnight.
Virtual programming is filmed at the park in a safe, socially distanced manner. Pre-recorded videos can be viewed online at facebook.com/discoverygreenhouston or discoverygreen.com.
