Bellaire Police Department Dedication Ceremony

The community is invited to celebrate the dedication of the new Bellaire Police Department and Municipal Court Building, located at 5110 Jessamine at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Public tours will be held following the formal dedication ceremony and conclude at 12 p.m.  

The new multi-purpose building was designed to be environmentally-friendly and energy efficient. It is outfitted with automated lighting, modern HVAC systems, and plumbing designed to conserve water use. The building will feature new multi-purpose room that can be used to hold educational programs and as a space for community groups to meet. There is also a dedicated classroom and a state-of-the-art training simulator for the Bellaire Police Department. A new Laser Shot training system will be used to teach officers de-escalation techniques in a controlled environment. The Laser Shot system was made possible through a generous contribution from the Bellaire Police & Fire Foundation.

Due to construction in the area, traffic and parking may be challenging the morning of the dedication.
