Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Big Black Tie Ball
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is pleased to announce its 2016 Annual Big Black Tie Ball on Sept. 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. at the Omni Houston Hotel. The evening, themed “Gen Z: Vision for the Future” will feature futuristic exhibits and couture designs by local designers. Guest will also enjoy first-class dining and exciting silent, live, and BIG board auctions followed by high-energy entertainment.
Big Black Tie Ball will honor educational pioneer, Dr. Mike Feinberg, Co-Founder of the KIPP (Knowledge Is Power Program) Foundation and Executive Vice Chair of KIPP Houston Public Schools, which includes 24 public charter schools: 9 primary schools, 11 middle schools, and 4 high schools serving over 12,500 children. Sarah Bolka, BBBS board member, Big Sister, and ardent supporter, will serve as this year’s chair. KPRC Local 2 Anchor, Rachel McNeill, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies as guests are entertained by Professor D. Funds raised will directly benefit local children facing adversity who have requested a Big Brother or Big Sister and who are waiting to be matched with mentors who will enrich, empower and encourage them to reach their highest potential.
