Bookworm Festival

The Bookworm Festival is a fun morning that celebrates emerging readers, and those who write for them. The festival takes place at Spring Oaks Middle School on Feb. 3, 2018. 

2016 Newbery Medal winner Matt de la Peña (Last Stop on Market Street) and bestselling illustrator Loren Long (Otis, Of Thee I Sing) share the keynote address. Their new collaboration, Love, is a powerful story about the universal bond that unites friends and family.

Other authors scheduled to appear include Lisa Mantchev (Jinx and the Doom Fight Crime!), Todd Parr (Love the World), Sherri Duskey Rinker (Tiny and the Big Dig), Ethan Long (Valensteins), and Tammi Sauer (Wordy Birdy). Kid-lit musician Emily Arrow will also be in attendance.
