Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk

Join the fiesta! The Kemah Boardwalk is celebrating Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 5. From 1-10 p.m., guests can dance the night away to live music, participate in a jalapeño eating contest sponsored by Cadillac Bar, and little ones will have the chance to decorate and take home their very own maracas! Attendees can commemorate the night by stopping by the photo station. All events will take place in the Main Events Plaza.

Kicking off the musical guests is TropiCrew, a group known for their wide musical repertoire including Salsa, Meringue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Top 40, Classic rock, and much more. The Mariachi de los Altos will travel all the way from Heights High School to provide attendees with a traditional Cinco de Mayo soundtrack. There will also be authentic dance performances paying tribute to the holiday from Mixteco Ballet Folklorico and Danza Folkloricas de Solei. Tejano Knights with Tejano Hall of Famer Alex Garibay will close out the night with an impressive performance, effortlessly transitioning from one musical genre to another, recreating today’s hits as well as the best in Tejano, Old School, R&B and Dance.

Guests can enjoy the Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Cadillac Bar, featuring exclusive Casa Noble Tequila Cocktails and Beer specials, live music, giveaways and more! Visitors seeking a luxury twist can sign up for the Cinco de Mayo dinner cruise aboard the Boardwalk FantaSea, a two and a half hour, 3-course dinner cruise with a rockin’ DJ on board beginning at 8 p.m.
