City of West U's Arbor Day Celebration

The City of West University Place will hold its annual Arbor Day Celebration at Colonial Park on Friday, Oct. 22, 5:30-7 p.m. The celebration will be held in conjunction with the Full Moon Fest, hosted by the West University Place Parks and Recreation Department.

Residents will be able to take home one complimentary tree per household. West U’s Urban Forester, Craig Koehl, will be on site handing out brochures and answering questions regarding to the planting and preservation of trees. The city sponsors the annual Arbor Day Celebration as part of participation in the Tree City USA program, which is operated by the Arbor Day Foundation.
