Cocktails & Conversations: Food Allergy Day

Learn what happens when food doesn't do a body good at The Health Museum on August 8, 2019, from 2-7 p.m. for Cocktails & Conversations: Food Allergy Day. Experts from Texas Children's Hospital will debunk myths and provide practical tools for living with food allergies. Guests will also explore food allergies from around the world. Interactive activities will be provided, including “passport” stamps for kids, food allergy Jenga, how to use an epinephrine auto-injector, signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis, a ring toss, activity books and much more!  

 

Experts will include Carla M. Davis, MD Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Chief of Immunology & Retrovirology, Director of Texas Children's Hospital Food Allergy Program; Alkaterini Anagnostou, MD (Hons) MSc PhD Associate Professor of Pediatric Allergy Section of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology, Director of Food Immunotherapy Program; and Sara Anvari, MD MSc, FAAAAI Associate Professor of Pediatrics Section of Immunology, Allergy and Retrovirology, Director of Clinical Trials - Food Allergy Program.
