Cookies with Santa at The Children's Museum
Fuel up on cookies with the ultimate Man in Red before his big departure at the Children’s Museum of Houston! Join in on the holiday countdown and help prepare cookies for Santa by decorating your very own. Make sure you’re on the right list before it’s too late! Don’t forget your own wish list! Events will include:
- Santa Meet-and-Greet, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in PowerPlay Alcove: Bring your wish list and snap a selfie with Santa!
- Cookie Decorating, 1-3 p.m. in PowerPlay Alcove: Have your cookie and eat it too! Help prepare cookies for Santa!
Ongoing activities include:
- Snow Globe Ornaments: Build a unique winter scene at Alexander Art Academy.
- Frosted Flake: Make your own snowflake out of salt crystals at EcoStation.
- Match That Snowflake: Did you know no two snowflakes are alike? Find out why at EcoStation.
- Mitten Measurements: Discover how mittens keep your hands nice and warm at EcoStation.
- Static Electric Snow: Manipulate tiny bits of "snow" using static charge at Science Station.
- Jingle Bell Bracelets: Make a festive bracelet that you can jingle all the way home at Junktion.
- Reindeer Masks: Become a fuzzy reindeer and paint on a shiny nose that glows at Junktion.
- Holiday Wreath: Make a holiday wreath to hang in your home at Junktion.
- Icy Igloos: Use blocks to build a mammoth-sized igloo at ExxonMobil Math Cart.
- Zip Line Sleigh: Engineer a sleigh and zip line test it at Chevron-Houston Texans Maker Annex.
(The museum will be open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Christmas Eve (closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.)
