DACAMERA Presents Houston SUMMERJAZZ 2023 featuring the Spanish Harlem Orchestra

On Thursday, August 17, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (SHO) will take to the Cullen Theater stage for an unforgettable performance as part of DACAMERA’s Houston SUMMERJAZZ 2023. The salsa and Latin jazz band sets the gold standard for excellence in authentic, New York-style, hard-core salsa. The ensemble’s energy on stage, rich sound and musical precision leave audiences mesmerized until the last note is played. With an unwavering respect for the music’s storied history, SHO’s 13 world-class musicians and vocalists come together to create an unparalleled musical experience. Nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album, their 2022 recording “Imágenes Latinas” is dedicated to the memory of iconic New York salsa and Latin jazz group, Conjunto Libre. Their 2018 release “Anniversary” won the 2019 Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Album.
