Easter at the Church of St. John the Divine
The Church of St. John the Divine will be holding several services and activities throughout the week leading up to Easter Sunday.
Saturday, April 8 at 5 p.m., the St. John the Divine Chorale, the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, and soloists will lead attendants into Holy Week with a performance of Brahms Requiem.
Sunday, April 9 from 7:45 a.m.-5 p.m., the church will be celebrating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with the consecration of the palms and a palm processional.
Monday through Thursday, April 10-13 at 12 p.m., the Chapel will be holding services of Holy Eucharist.
Friday, April 14 at 7 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. the church will hold a Good Friday service reflecting on Jesus' journey from his arrest to his entombment.
Saturday, April 15 at 7 p.m. there will be an Easter Eve service.
Sunday, April 16 from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. and at 5 p.m. the church will be organizing a Festive Easter service. Music will be led by the St. John’s Chorale, organ, brass & timpani.
