The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center (the J) is excited to celebrate 50 years of being a cultural and literary hub of our community with this year’s Ann and Stephen Kaufman Jewish Book & Arts Festival, October 22 – November 5, 2022.

We are excited to announce our Sneak Preview event featuring Jen Maxfield and her book More After the Break: A Reporter Returns to Ten Unforgettable News Stories. The event is Thursday, September 15 at 7:30pm at the Emery Weiner School (9825 Stella Link Road).

Over the course of TV news reporter Jen Maxfield’s career, she conducted thousands of interviews and often wondered: What happened after the news trucks pulled away? In her book, Maxfield revisits ten captivating news subjects and learns how their lives unfolded after the cameras stopped rolling.
