Family Movie Night: Inside Out
Levy Park’s Family Movie Night sponsored by Texas Children’s Hospital on Fri., Sept. 27 is the heart-warming DreamWorks animated film, Inside Out. Represent your favorite character by wearing their characteristic color from head to toe!
Riley is a happy 11 year old girl from Minnesota who loves to play hockey and is driven by five basic emotions. But being a preteen can be tough, especially when you suddenly have to move to a different state! This life changing event brings Riley to an emotional breakdown and causes Joy, the leader of Headquarters and Sadness to lose control of the memory orbs. That leaves Anger, Disgust, and Fear running the Headquarters of Riley’s mind. In a hurried attempt to fix things, Joy and Sadness find themselves trapped in a maze of long-term memories and are quickly being moved into the abyss of forgotten memories from which they must escape.
Family Movie Night is on the last Friday of every month. Inside Out will begin at 7:30 p.m. No outside furniture is allowed, but blankets or park chairs can be used.
