The Children's Museum, in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Houston, invites you to a celebration of Mexican Independence! 209 years ago, Father Miguel Hidalgo started the revolution with a "cry" for liberty that led to Mexican independence from Spain. This year, the Children's Museum is celebrating the "Grito de Dolores" with all-day festivities, including music, mariachi, ballet folklórico, and a live Grito re-enactment.
