Gallery Concert "The Sounds of Ancient China"

In celebration of Emperors’ Treasures: Chinese Art from the National Palace Museum, Taipei, groups of musicians from NAYCO—North American Youth Chinese Orchestra—are stationed throughout the exhibition to perform traditional Chinese compositions that reflect the taste of the dynasties represented in each gallery. The young musicians also briefly describe the history of the traditional Chinese instruments they are playing. The audience may move from group to group, and campstools are provided for seating.
