The Garden Club of Houston's 81st Bulb & Plant Market

The Garden Club of Houston's 81st Bulb & Plant Market takes place this year Oct. 12-14, 2023, with a Preview Party on Thurs., Oct. 12, 5-7 p.m., with music and light bites. The market takes place Fri., Oct. 13, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 14, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The public is encouraged to pre-order bulbs now through Oct. 3 on the Garden Club's website. Pre-orders must be picked up on location during Bulb & Plant Mart hours. Drive-through pick-up will be available. Receive 10 percent off bulbs when you pre-order $100 or more (discount applies to pre-ordered bulbs only). 

The Mart offers top-quality bulbs from the best growers around the United States and abroad. Examples of bulbs offered for sale include Amaryllis, Anemones, Crocuses, Daffodils, Freesias, Hyacinths, Irises, Ranunculi, and varieties of Tulips and Watsonias. Experienced and beginning gardeners alike will find an expanded collection of hard-to-find and unusual Crinums, Daylilies, Gingers, perennials, shrubs, vines, herbs and citrus plants, including exclusive offerings grown specifically for the Mart from the gardens of GCH members.

The Plants that Merit Attention booth will be featured on Saturday morning and will offer noteworthy selections collected specifically for the Mart. Additional special exhibits will include the live butterfly tent from The Museum of Natural Science Cockrell Butterfly Center. The GCH Conservation Booth will feature a variety of native and drought tolerant plants curated by experts in ecological conservation and education.

Proceeds from the Bulb and Plant Mart are used for the purposes of stimulating the interest in and knowledge of gardening, enhancing the beauty of our community, and protecting and restoring our fragile ecosystem.
