Hands-on Houston Family Festival: A Celebration of Wood Crafts
Houston Center for Contemporary Craft is hosting the fifth annual HANDS-ON HOUSTON FAMILY FESTIVAL, a free community event. Families and visitors of all ages are invited to this fun day of indoor/outdoor activities. This year, HCCC celebrates wood crafts with hands-on activities, demonstrations by local artists and more. Activities include assembling a wooden toy car with the Woodworkers Club of Houston, creating mini spool people, transforming a clothespin into a clever toy, watching live woodworking demonstrations and more. Enjoy food and refreshments from Oddball Eats and Koagi Hots foodtrucks.
Note: The HCCC parking lot will be blocked off for activities and food trucks, but parking will be available on nearby streets and in the northern end of the First Presbyterian Church’s north lot at 5300 Main St.
