Ongoing Activities:
DIY Pinatas: Join us for a fun-filled moment where creativity takes center stage as you get to design and decorate your own vibrant piñatas to take home!
When: From 9 am to 5 pm in the Maker Annex
We are The Weave and the Weavers: Come and join us in creating a weaving piece, Ojo de Dio (origin from Mexico) and Dreamcatchers (which originates from The Lakota Nation from the US). This fun and creative bilingual hands-on workshop is one you want to experience!
When: At the top of every hour from 10 am to 3 pm in Alexander Art Academy
Mariachi Jarabe Tapatio: Experience vibrant rhythms and rich traditions with spectacular performances by Mariachi Jarabe Tapatio taking place throughout the Museum.
When: From 9 am to 2 pm around the museum
Story Time with Univision: Local leaders, and Univision 45 personalities entertain you with a charming children's story, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
When: 11 am in the Parent Resource Library
Crocro y su Tumbaká: In this multicultural group, Tumbaká interprets songs with echoes of Latin-jazz, percussion solos, batá, son, guarachas, and opera/salsa.
When: 11:30 am in Kid's Hall Alcove
Fiestas Patrias Grito Reenactment: Join us for a visual reenactment as a mariachi band opens with cultural music, followed by a grito reenactment, and concluding with a live folklórico performance featuring the mariachi!
When: 1 pm in Kid's Hall Alcove
Flamenco Ole!: Come experience this show that teaches children about the art and culture of Flamenco, as artists showcase its important elements!
When: 2 pm in Kid's Hall Alcove
