Holocaust Museum Houston Commemorates Holocaust Remembrance Day

Holocaust Museum Houston (HMH) will honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Jan. 27, 2025, with a free evening lecture from author Amir Tibon. In addition, the Museum will host free admission on Sunday, Jan. 26 at HMH’s Lester and Sue Smith Campus located at 5401 Caroline Street.

In 2005, the United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On Monday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Congregation Beth Yeshurun, HMH will host a free lecture from award-winning diplomatic correspondent Amir Tibon. Hear the gripping true story of how he and his family were rescued from Kibbutz Nahal Oz on October 7, 2023, by Tibon’s own father, a retired IDF general. This free program is in collaboration with the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest and Congregation Beth Yeshurun, with support from Kaki and Larry Buck, Rhona and Bruce Caress, Brian Schmulen/Higginbotham, Mitzi Shure and Jerry Wische and Ellen and Dan Trachtenberg.

For more information and to reserve a free ticket to International Holocaust Remembrance Day Featuring Special Guest Speaker Amir Tibon on Jan. 27 or resere free admission tickets on Jan. 26, visit hmh.org/Remembrance.
