Hope Farms' Earth Day Birthday

Celebrate Earth Day and Hope Farms' birthday starting at noon on Tuesday, April 22.

Throughout the morning, a volunteer brigade of 50+ Green Mountain Energy employees, community partners, and Foundation supporters will transform the Farm's seven acres to prepare for spring planting.

This year, in honor of Earth Day, the Recipe for Success Foundation will unveil the work of internationally renowned Houston-based artist Anat Ronen, the 2025 Artist-in-Residence at Hope Farms.

"Harvesting Love" by Anat Ronen, the 2025 Artist-in-Residence at Hope Farms. 

Inspired by the processes of growing, preparing, and sharing food at Hope Farms, her installation titled “Harvesting Love,” is a hyper-realistic mural spanning the entire side of a 10' x 20' shipping container. This super-sized artwork, easily visible from Airport Boulevard and Scott Street, will become a permanent welcome landmark for all Hope Farms visitors. The 2025 Hope Farms Artist in Residence program is sponsored by the City of Houston and the Houston Arts Alliance. Ronen's artistic practice aligns perfectly with Hope Farms' mission to teach, inspire, and empower a healthier community.

9:30 a.m.: Volunteer Activation
12 p.m.: Unveiling of Art Installation by Artist in Residence, Anat Ronen
12:30 p.m.: Veg-Friendly Media Lunch in the United Healthcare Gathering Barn
