Houston Area Parkinson Society 2017 Annual Awards Gala

Award-winning journalist, former NPR host and current host of the weekly podcast On My Mind, Diane Rehm will be an honoree and keynote speaker at the Gala for Houston Area Parkinson Society (HAPS) on Nov. 5 (rescheduled from Oct. 1 due to Harvey).

This year’s live auction features a special item with boxing gloves signed by Muhammad Ali, who had Parkinson’s disease.

The 2017 Annual Awards Gala, Changing the Face of Parkinson’s, will be Sunday, Nov. 5 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak, 6-9 p.m. Preceding the Gala, there will be a special VIP Reception at 5 p.m. with Ms. Rehm.

Gala Events Chairs are Hala and Joe Ahmad. Distinguished award recipients, including Ms. Rehm, will be recognized for their exceptional contributions to improve the quality of life for those with Parkinson’s.
