Houston Oyster Festival

Galveston Bay Foundation will host its inaugural Houston Oyster Festival on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Silver Street Studios. The family-friendly event will showcase 15+ of Houston’s hottest restaurants, all serving incredible seafood dishes, featuring oysters as the main ingredient. Attendees can also enjoy cooking demos, a raw bar, oyster and champagne pairings, beer, wine and vodka bars, live music, educational exhibits and more!

Proceeds will go to the Galveston Bay Foundation’s Oyster Shell Recycling Program, marking the first step in expanding the program into Houston’s Inner Loop. To date, the program has collected more than 2 million pounds of oyster shells that have been incorporated in oyster reef restoration projects. Galveston Bay Foundation's mission is to preserve and protect Galveston Bay as a healthy and productive place for generations to come.
