India's Daughter: Free Film Screening
INDIA’S DAUGHTER is the award-winning documentary about a brutal gang rape of a young medical student in 2012, which sparked protests and debates worldwide about gender inequality. Following the screening of the documentary there will be a talk, with Q&A, by the Director, Leslee Udwin, named by the New York Times as the Second Most Influential Woman of 2015 (runner up to Hilary Clinton). Leslee Udwin is the winner of numerous awards, including the Peabody Award, the Asian Media Award, the San Diego Film Festival Award, the Stuttgart Indian Film Festival Award, and the Biografilm Festival Award.
