Into the Wild Bayou Preservation Annual Gala & Fundraiser

Bayou Preservation presents Into the Wild on Thursday, May 2 at The Ballroom at Bayou Place to celebrate the remarkable flora and fauna that grace our bayous and wetlands, showcasing the vital work they undertake to preserve these precious ecosystems. Embark on a journey to protect Houston's wildlife: one tributary at a time. Tributaries and smaller waterways sustain the diverse ecosystem of the bayou system, ensuring that both the wildlife and communities thrive.

The gala will be emceed by Carrigan Chauvin, CW39 Houston's meteorologist and traffic anchor. Originally from neighboring Louisiana and now a vibrant part of the Houston community, Carrigan brings a unique perspective and expertise in weather science. Themed decor and entertaining activities will transport guests to the heart of the wilderness. Meet conservation enthusiasts, indulge in delicious food and drinks, participate in an exciting game of bingo with a nature twist, and learn about the diverse tapestry of life thriving in Houston's tributaries and waterways. Unleash your wild side (it's optional!) by sporting your most creative interpretation of wilderness formal attire. Plus, don't miss an exciting game of bingo, where you could win an amazing mystery grand prize from Dirt Bag plant store!

Bayou Preservation aims to make the event affordable for a wider audience this year, ensuring that everyone can join. All proceeds from "Into the Wild" gala will directly support ongoing efforts to protect and restore Houston's tributary ecosystems.
