JDRF Houston Gulf Coast Chapter's TypeOneNight

JDRF Houston Gulf Coast Chapter welcomes the Houston T1D community to join them for TypeOneNation, a free day of education and activities geared to those living with and caring for the autoimmune disease at all stages. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from local and nationwide experts on the latest information including current and future treatments.

Multiple breakout sessions will also be available for both youth and adults to inspire sharing and connecting and will include topics such as Positive (Psycho-Social Aspect) Approach to Parenting, Making the Most of Your Appointment, Taking T1D to School, and more. A vendor fair with local pump and camp representatives will also be available for guests to check out during the event. Keynote speaker Dr. Albanese-O’Neil, an assistant professor at the University of Florida, College of Nursing, who serves as a nurse practitioner in the UF Health pediatric diabetes clinic, will begin her presentation at 9:30 a.m.
