Jonathan Larson's tick, tick....BOOM!
Pitch Me That Productions presents its second performance event, Jonathan Larson's tick, tick... BOOM!, which was first produced off-off-Broadway in 1990 as a "rock monologue" performed by Larson himself. In keeping with Larson's original intent, PMT's production of tick...tick...BOOM! aims to create a unique theatrical concert experience that challenges traditional musical theater staging and embraces the "rock monologue" format and delivery. Held in the heart of Houston's thriving Midtown Arts District at the Alley Kat Bar and Lounge, PMT Productions' original staging of tick...tick...BOOM! is sure to offer a fresh perspective on this iconic piece. We are also looking forward to bringing this vibrant work to a new generation of Houstonians, seeing how this show has not been produced in Houston since 2007.
The cast of tick, tick... BOOM! includes Travis Coombs (Jon), who was recently seen in off-Broadway productions of Piggy Nation and Honestly Abe and who currently works as Associate Artistic Director of Art Park Players; Kyle Crawford (Michael), a PMT staffer and Houston native who has been seen on stages across the Houston Bay Area, most recently in his revival of Dr.
Frank-N-Furter (Rocky Horror Show); and Kasi Hollowell (Susan), a Sam Houston MT student who has performed extensively in cabaret shows and musical theater productions in Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. The production team includes Eduardo Guzman (music director), Heather Steele (choreographer), and Bret Gardner (technical design).
