The Jung Center's 2020 Spring Benefit

The Jung Center's 2020 Spring Benefit,  The Quality of Our Relationships Defines the Quality of Our Lives, will take place Tues., Oct 6 at River Oaks Country Club. Guest speaker will be relationships expert Esther Perel. 

The Belgian-born daughter of Holocaust survivors, Esther Perel is a best-selling author, psychotherapist, and expert on intimacy and relationships. Her TED Talk has attracted more than six million views, and her books Mating in Captivity and The State of Affairs are both international bestsellers. Ms. Perel hosts a popular podcast, Where Should We Begin?, and her work has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, and Cosmopolitan, and on Oprah, The Today Show, and The Colbert Report. The New York Times named Ms. Perel as “the most important game-changer on sexuality and relationships since Dr. Ruth.”

The Carolyn Grant Fay Humanitarian Award, named for The Jung Center’s co-founder, will be presented to H-E-B / Lisa Helfman and Juanita Rasmus. H-E-B, Ms. Helfman, and Ms. Rasmus work tirelessly contributing to our community and to the work of The Jung Center. Both Ms. Helfman and Ms. Rasmus serve on The Jung Center’s Mind Body Spirit Institute Advisory Board and have been instrumental in bringing MBSI’s wellness and stress-relief programs to individuals, schools, healthcare providers, and businesses.

Morgan Garvey and Henry Richardson are co-chairing the Spring Benefit.

Funds raised ensure that The Jung Center continues to improve our community’s mental health, encouraging people to pay attention to their emotional wellbeing. The Spring Benefit enables the Center to continue offering classes onsite, online, and on location reaching out into the community that educate and equip some 38,000 people a year with healthy, insightful tools to navigate life’s challenges and care for their emotional health.
