The Junior League of Houston will host their 75th Annual Charity Ball, “A Diamond Celebration” on Thurs., Feb. 2 through Sat., Feb. 4, starting at 6 p.m. each night. The event is inspired by this significant milestone which will be celebrated by acknowledging the past, celebrating the present and toasting the future of the League and Charity Ball. Charity Ball Chairman: Elizabeth Roath Garcia

Guests will begin each evening with a cocktail while browsing auction items before making their way to the Ballroom to enjoy a delectable dinner provided by the Tea Room’s Chef Michael Smith. Friday and Saturday nights will also feature a live auction and an exciting all-member show. The auction will be a combo of live and silent items that will include everything from fabulous experience such as concert trip packages, vacations and beautiful jewels from Valobra Jewelers. The Diamond Celebration will continue Saturday night where guests will experience a Bejeweled Late Night sponsored by ALTO. This special late-night evening begins at 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 and includes drinks, photo ops, silent auction and dancing under diamonds with Houston’s Radio Live Band.

Since 1949, the annual Charity Ball has been an integral source of funding for the Junior League’s Community Program and volunteer initiatives. The League provides trained volunteers and funding to 33 community projects as well as additional outreach efforts including community assistance grants, innovative community collaborations and other impactful community events. League members are united by their interest in “Building A Better Community,” demonstrated by countless volunteer hours, extensive service on nonprofit boards and coalitions and a commitment to continue leading positive change for the Houston community.
