'Just the Truth' benefiting local and national HIV/AIDS foundations

Get ready for a night to remember as Pomp and Circumstance Extravagant Events combines the elements of charity and lavishness to celebrate the Big Game’s arrival in Houston. “Just the Truth” will include a vast array of celebrities and athletes near and far, as they join together to celebrate kickoff in Houston for a cause. This unforgettable event will take place on Friday, Feb. 3 at Hotel Zaza. Proceeds from the event will benefit two local and national foundations working to continue the fight against HIV/AIDS: The T.R.U.T.H. Project and American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA).

Both non-profit foundations, The T.R.U.T.H. Project and American Foundation for Children with AIDS, are organizations that promote and support an awareness of the AIDS community. “Just the Truth” will also be holding an awards ceremony while shining light on three local, remarkable individuals who have vigorously dedicated themselves as exceptional advocates in the fight against HIV/AIDS: Dr. Joseph C. Gathe, and St. John’s United Methodist Church’s Pastor Rudy and Juanita Rasmus.

The evening will include celebrity athletes and entertainers from all over the U.S., as well as long-time supporters of each charitable foundation involved. Guests can anticipate a night filled with live entertainment, courtesy of special musical guests Eric Benét and Leela James. In addition, local band, Erikah and Nocturnal the Band, will be performing while Dj Supastar from Houston’s 93.7 The Beat and DJ Good Grief will be spinning all night. Hors d'oeuvres and libations will be provided.
