Last Curtain Call Special Screening
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema will be hosting a special engagement release for “Last Curtain Call” as part of a nationwide fundraiser event for the Longest Day that benefits Alzheimer and Dementia. The film tells the story of an aspiring rock star who has neglected his family over his music career, then gets early onset dementia just as he is about to get his big break in the music industry. Knowing that his life is limited, he tries to make up for all the time he lost with everyone he loved but is it too late?
The local Houston chapter of the Alzheimer’s Associaton will have an information booth set up at the theater the day of the screening with brochures and pamphlets. There will also be a speaker at the end of the screening with a Q&A discussion. Portion of the proceeds will be donated to “Last Curtain Call Longest Day Event” that will raise money through Aug. 31.
Tickets can be purchased online here. They will not be sold at the theater.
