Mah-Jongg Fundraiser to Benefit Christian Community Service Center
Get ready to lay down some tiles for a great cause - Bellaire United Methodist Church (BUMC) is putting together a mah-jongg fundraiser to benefit Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) and its mission to serve the poor, hungry, disabled, and otherwise needy while respecting their religious, ethnic or cultural differences. The fundraiser will be held Tuesday, August 22 at Bellaire United Methodist Church. Registration will open at 8 a.m. and play begins at 9 a.m. Preregistration and payment are required.
To preregister, e-mail the following information to [email protected] or text it to 832-971-8712: name, address, email, phone number, and skill level. The cost of participation is $45 to play and raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20. A private table for four will be $200. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Payments by check can be mailed to BUMC, 4417 Bellaire Blvd., 77401, with mah-jongg written in the memo line. You may also Venmo payments to @Lana-PeraltaBoutwell (8712). Preregistration deadline is July 31. BUMC reserves the right to limit the number of tables, so get your registration in early.
CCSC is a community-based nonprofit organization serving central and southwest Houston. CCSC was incorporated in 1980 and since that time has grown to encompass a coalition of 40 churches united in service. Thanks to thousands of volunteers, CCSC currently offers services through the following outreach programs: Emergency Services-Central, Emergency Services-Southwest, JobNet, Martha’s Way, the Professional Home Caregiver Training Program, Jingle Bell Express, Back To School, and The Louise J.
